Welcome to 義友海鲜飯店Yee Yew Seafood Restaurant, a culinary hidden gem nestled in Taman Tringkap, Brinchang, Pahang. This unique dining establishment represents a delightful departure from the conventional restaurant experience, inviting guests into a world of personalized seafood gastronomy.
At Yee Yew, there is no set menu; instead, the essence of your meal is shaped by an engaging conversation with the amiable owner. This approach strikes a harmonious chord with the concept of "omakase," where diners express their cravings and preferences, allowing the chef to curate dishes based on what’s fresh and appealing. This results in a dining experience that feels bespoke and intimate.
The culinary highlights are numerous. Many patrons rave about the homemade Huang Jing Tofu, renowned for its velvety texture and rich flavor. Pair this with the Nyonya-style steamed fish, which presents a fresh, fragrant twist that teases the palate. The salted egg squid and soy sauce prawns emerge as crowd favorites, each dish embodying a marvelous balance of taste that leaves diners craving more. With generous portions at reasonable prices, it’s no surprise that customers often mention how "bussin'" the food is.
However, visitors should note a common concern: the presence of flies, a quirk of the location that can occasionally disrupt the experience. Yet, many agree that the food’s exceptional quality far outweighs this minor nuisance. It's a testament to the establishment's charm that patrons are still eager to return, drawn by the prospect of a remarkable meal crafted specifically for them.
The welcoming atmosphere, combined with the friendly interactions and culinary creativity, make 義友海鲜飯店Yee Yew Seafood Restaurant a must-visit venue in Cameron Highlands. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or a casual diner, this restaurant promises a unique experience that celebrates the joy of food in a way that feels personal and authentic.

Quite a unique experience. There is no menu, chat w them, ask for what you feel like eating. If they can cook it they will, if they can’t, they will recommend something else. Possibly the best meal I had while in Cameron Highlands. Definitely worth coming. Only gripe, the place has a lot of flies.

Good taste and reasonable price. All dishes we ordered were delicious. My personal favourite, their homemade Huang Jing Tofu (Golden Tofu), Nyonya style steam fish, the green beans dish and Kerabu. Ice plant salad as starter was good too.

Recommending this restaurant. Its tasty, it still kept the traditional taste of it kind. Extra ordinary. The dishes are fresh, with cold weather make it an incredible good experiece. Boss are friendly. Serving food is real quick. Good portion too. Enjoy your meal and fellowship there.
